She was the first woman to receive the  Pritzker Architecture Prize , in 2004. [1]  She received the UK's most prestigious architectural award, the  Stirling Prize , in 2010 and 2011. In 2012, she was made a  Dame  by  Elizabeth II  for services to architecture, and in 2015 she became the first and only woman to be awarded the  Royal Gold Medal  from the  Royal Institute of British Architects . Weekly Inspiration-Black Balloons by TADAOCERN

http://www.gooood.hk/black-balloons-by-tadaocern.htm Every single day I spend at my studio and my creative process resembles playing. Everything I create comes out of curiosity. The same happened with a project ‘Black Balloons’. For an extensive amount of time I had an idea to connect two balloons. I found a free minute between the other currently run projects, bought two balloons, and got overwhelmed by the result. It was so unpretentious and so magical at the same time! That opposition created by two very simple and playful objects once again brought a unique childlike sense of discovery. This experience uncovers a lot and the more one looks at it, the more it becomes true: “simplicity is genius”.

Movie Feedback

1. The film focuses on copyright and the fight between the creative minority and corporate majority. RIP delivers a fiercely persuasive message to its audience. Copyright law is enabling the ongoing privatization of contemporary culture to the detriment of society; and that the open exchange of creative content is pivotal for continued community growth in the digital era.What do you think about current law of Copyright? Personally, I agree with the film's statement, Copyright law is enabling the ongoing privatization of contemporary culture to the detriment of society, and that the open exchange of creative content is pivotal for continued community growth in the digital era. A healthy public domain does a great deal to support creativity and science. Copyright is a government-granted monopoly, without limitations, this monopoly can consume everything, making it so that hardly anything, no matter how seemingly unique, is not an infringement. 2.
