Creative Assignment 1

Falling Water, Pennsylvania -- Frank Lloyd Wright
As a Landscape Architecture major student, the Falling Water at Pennsylvania is the master piece from one of the best Landscape Architect in the US-- Frank Lloyd Wright.

Fallingwater is a house designed in 1935 by renowned American architect Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959). The house was designed as a private residence and weekend home for the family of Pittsburgh department store owner, Edgar J. Kaufmann, Sr. Fallingwater is one of Wright’s most widely acclaimed works and best exemplifies his philosophy of organic architecture: the harmonious union of art and nature.

It is located in the mountains of southwestern Pennsylvania, also known as the Laurel Highlands, in Mill Run, Pa. in Fayette County, about 70 miles east of Pittsburgh. Wright designed Fallingwater to rise above the waterfall over which it is built. Completed with a guest house and service wing in 1939, Fallingwater was constructed of native sandstone and other materials quarried from the property. Fallingwater was built by local craftsman from Fayette County.

The house was also named the “best all-time work of American architecture” in a poll of members of the American Institute of Architects.

In my appropriate project, I wanted to show my respect and appreciation of the master piece. So I make it a warm environment like a heaven located in the middle of iced rocky mountain, with all the bloomer blooming, and pink rose waterfall. I also wrapped it with different exterior texture -- feather to make it different.  I also added a drone which looks like a alien spaceship to even make this scene looks more weird and unreasonable.

Bridge Over Pond Of Waterlilies - Monet
In 1893, Monet, a passionate horticulturist, purchased land with a pond near his property in Giverny, intending to build something "for the pleasure of the eye and also for motifs to paint."
I wish to use the structure on campus to appropriate Monet's work, and by adding some  content that I'm existing of . As a non-local student here, I miss my hometown very much, people, food and the street. Everything are much different than here at Purdue. So I decided to adding some Chinese-style component structure/objects in my project. Also, the component objects in the picture -- like some luxury cars -- indicating what we can see on campus as more international student came to Purdue, and the difference of values and lifestyle between international students and local students.
